The courage to be ridiculous
Adebola begins assessment morning giving younger disciples an extravagant pep talk. Lightning interrupts before he can finish. Nengi puts out the sparks, and a frightened group finds something to laugh about.
His performance can make him easy to underestimate. It also changes the room around him. Watch the difference between wanting applause and giving people a way to breathe when they are afraid.
